Industrial Pressure Gauges โ€” Full Range Description

โš™๏ธ Bourdon Tube Pressure Gauges

The most common industrial pressure gauge, using a C-type Bourdon tube mechanism to measure gauge pressure. Bell Engineering manufactures Bourdon tube gauges in 63mm, 100mm and 160mm dial sizes, with ranges from 0โ€“0.6 bar up to 0โ€“1000 bar. Available in dry or liquid-filled versions, with brass or SS 316 wetted parts and bottom/back/side entry connections in BSP, NPT or flange.

Range: 0โ€“0.6 bar to 0โ€“1000 bar | Accuracy: Class 1.6 / 2.5 | Material: Brass / SS 316

๐Ÿ’ง Glycerine Filled Pressure Gauges

Liquid-filled (glycerine, silicone oil or halocarbon fluid) pressure gauges are designed for applications with high vibration, pulsation or rapid pressure fluctuations โ€” such as pumps, compressors, hydraulic systems and pipelines. The glycerine filling dampens pointer oscillation, lubricates the movement and protects internal components from condensation. Available in all standard ranges and sizes.

Range: 0โ€“1 bar to 0โ€“600 bar | Fill: Glycerine / Silicone | IP: IP65/67

๐Ÿ”ฌ Diaphragm Pressure Gauges

Diaphragm gauges use a flexible membrane instead of a Bourdon tube โ€” making them ideal for aggressive, viscous, crystallising or clogging media that would block a standard gauge. Bell Engineering offers PTFE, gold-plated, Hastelloy C-276 and Tantalum diaphragm options. Common applications include chemical dosing, slurry measurement, food-grade processes and pharmaceutical reactors.

Range: 0โ€“25 mbar to 0โ€“40 bar | Diaphragm: PTFE / Gold / Hastelloy | Flush or extended

๐Ÿ“Š Differential Pressure Gauges

Differential pressure gauges measure the difference between two process pressures โ€” used to monitor filter status, flow through an orifice plate, or pressure drop across a heat exchanger. Bell Engineering DP gauges feature piston or diaphragm-sensing elements with dual process connections. Available with limit indicators (green/red) for filter change alerts and 4โ€“20 mA transmitter output versions.

Range: 0โ€“0.1 bar to 0โ€“16 bar DP | Ports: ยผ BSP / ยฝ NPT | SS 316 wetted

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Temperature Gauges (Thermometers)

Bimetallic thermometers with 63mm, 100mm and 150mm dials for direct-immersion temperature measurement in pipes, tanks and vessels. Available in back-connected (axial), bottom-connected and angle (90ยฐ) configurations. Thermowells in SS 316, carbon steel or brass protect the sensing element. Ranges from โˆ’40ยฐC to +600ยฐC. Gas-actuated (capillary) remote-reading thermometers also available for hard-to-access locations.

Range: โˆ’40ยฐC to +600ยฐC | Dial: 63โ€“150mm | Thermowell: SS 316

๐Ÿ”ญ Vacuum & Compound Gauges

Vacuum gauges measure absolute or negative gauge pressures below atmospheric (0 to โˆ’1 bar / 0 to โˆ’760 mmHg), used in vacuum furnaces, condensers, distillation columns and pharmaceutical freeze-drying. Compound gauges combine vacuum and positive pressure measurement in a single instrument (e.g. โˆ’1 to +15 bar), ideal for refrigeration and air conditioning systems where the process swings between vacuum and positive pressure.

Vacuum: โˆ’1 to 0 bar | Compound: โˆ’1 to +30 bar | All connection types
Not Sure Which Gauge You Need?

Choosing between Bourdon tube, glycerine-filled, diaphragm or digital gauges depends on your pressure range, process media, accuracy requirement and environment. Our step-by-step buying guide and dry-vs-glycerine, SS304-vs-SS316 and digital-vs-analog comparisons walk you through it.

FAQ

Product Range โ€” Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions buyers ask while comparing gauge types before requesting a quote.

What is the difference between a Bourdon tube and a diaphragm pressure gauge?

A Bourdon tube gauge uses a curved metal tube that straightens under pressure and suits clean gas or liquid media. A diaphragm gauge uses a flexible membrane instead, making it better suited to viscous, crystallising or clogging media that would block a Bourdon tube.

Which gauge type should I use for a vibrating or pulsating line?

Choose a glycerine or silicone-filled gauge โ€” the liquid fill dampens pointer flutter and protects the movement, and is the standard choice for compressors, pumps and pulsating hydraulic lines.

Do you supply spare parts and accessories for pressure gauges?

Yes. We supply gauge accessories and spare parts including syphons, snubbers, isolation valves, diaphragm seals and mounting brackets alongside our gauge range.

Can I get a digital pressure gauge instead of an analog one?

Yes, digital pressure gauges are available alongside our analog Bourdon tube range, offering higher resolution, backlighting, peak-hold and data output for instrumentation systems.

What dial sizes are available across your product range?

Our standard product range covers 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 100mm, 150mm and 250mm dial sizes across most gauge types โ€” see our technical reference tables for the full breakdown.

Can Bell Engineering manufacture a non-standard or custom gauge specification?

Yes. We manufacture custom dial ranges, special materials (Hastelloy, Titanium, Monel), non-standard connections, explosion-proof housings and private label branding to your drawing.
